Sixth Grade Math Midterm Study Guide 2018
The math midterm will be given in two parts over the course of two days. This is the same format as the New York State Math Exam which will be given in May.
- Part One: Multiple Choice Questions
- Part Two: Short and Extended Response Questions
The following topics from Eureka Math will be assessed on the midterm exam. Refer to the specific question numbers from each lesson when reviewing these topics. Midterm questions will be similar in style to these references.

All students will be required to show their mastery of the following ratio strategies on the midterm:
- Creating and use a tape diagram
- Completing ratio tables with equivalent ratios
- Drawing and completing double number line diagrams
- Writing an equation to represent the relationship between the quantities in a ratio. This equation must be written using variables that represent the quantities.
- Plotting ratios as ordered pairs on the coordinate plane. Adding appropriate number scales to the x-and y-axes and labeling the axes with titles from the word problem or accompanying ratio table.
- Finding the value of a ratio (the ratio in lowest terms)
- Finding the unit rate
- Review the notes in your math notebook as well as any notes you made directly in your book.
- Review all graded and non-graded worksheets since September.
- Review all test and quizzes since September.
