September, 2022
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the beginning of 1st Grade! I hope that you had a restful and healthy summer. This year will be very important for your child-emotionally, academically, and religiously. My classroom policy is very simple: work hard, do your best and you will succeed. I hope to make it a memorable year!
Each child must have 4 notebooks; these will be distributed in class. These books will be used throughout the year. Your child will also need 4 or more sharpened pencils each day, a FABRIC pencil case, 1 coloring book, and 1 box of 16 or 24 crayons; these can be purchased elsewhere. The crayons must stay in school as they are used every day in class. Please send in one roll of paper towel, all-purpose wipes, hand sanitizer, and 2 boxes of tissues.
-Your child's name should be on all of his or her belongings, especially the outside of the lunchbox and in the sweater/sweatshirt.
-Parents are to check their child's take-home (TH) folder each night.
-Parents must sign all homework and test papers. Signed test papers are to be returned the next day.
-All workbooks and textbooks must be covered with clear contact paper (I will be sending a few books home each night. Please do not do any work in the books unless it has been assigned!)
-All money from home must be brought to school in an envelope labeled with your child's name, class, and contents.
-Please remember, it is very important for your child to do his or her homework every night! A homework grade is given in each subject.
If at any time you have a concern or a question, feel free to contact me by email at [email protected] or simply send in a note with your child.
Thanking you in advance for your cooperation!
